Silver Dirt, groupe de sleaze/hard rock vient de sortir un DVD « Sonic Live 2006 ». J’avoue qu’avant de regarder ce DVD je ne connaissais pas le groupe suisse qui a sorti auparavant une démo et un premier album autoproduit « Sonic Boom ». Ce DVD est ce que j’appelle une bonne surprise.  Tout d’abord la qualité de son et d’image est excellente… et ce qui se passe sur scène ne l’est pas moins !!!

On sent que le groupe est à l’aise sur scène, avec plus de 60 concerts à son actif depuis 2005. Silver Steff a une certaine prestance sur scène et c’est un bon front man qui se révèle être également un bon vocaliste et qui sait interpeller et « apprivoiser » le public.

Les musiciens sont également à l’aise sur scène et maîtrisent parfaitement leurs instruments respectifs.

Les chansons sont énergiques avec de bons soli. Les morceaux sont des compositions classiques pour le genre et de bonne qualité.

Le DVD est agrémenté de parties off stage, de petites interviews des membres du groupe et d’une vidéo.

C’est plutôt une bonne idée d’avoir réaliser ce DVD car il nous montre Silver Dirt comme étant un groupe avec un potentiel énorme avec lequel il faudra compter dans les années à venir.

Silver Dirt, a sleaze/hard rock group has just released a DVD « Sonic Live 2006 ». I have to admit that before looking this DVD I did not know the Swiss group who has released a demo and a first auto produce album « Sonic Boom ». This DVD is what I call a good surprise. First of all the quality of sound and image is excellent … and all that is happening on stage is worth it!!!

We can feel that the group is at ease on stage, with more than 60 gigs since 2005.

Silver Steff has a certain presence on stage and he is a good front man who reveals also to be a good singer who knows to call and to “win over” the public.

The musicians are also at ease on stage and control perfectly their instruments.

The songs are energetic with good soli. The tracks are classical compositions for the genre and well done ones.

The DVD is spice of off stage parts, little interviews of the members of the group and of a video.

It is rather a good idea to have release this DVD because it shows us Silver Dirt as being a group with a huge potential with who will have to count in the years to come.

Sorti en début d’année 2007 ce « The Legacy World Tour » (pour faire court !) d’Helloween est un DVD live enregistré lors du dernier concert du groupe à Sao Paulo, au Brésil.

Dire que ce live est très bon est peu dire !!! Tout d’abord la production est à la hauteur avec un son des plus clairs, avec l’impression d’être dans la salle… le public, très en forme ce soir là semble-t-il, se fait entendre et répond présent, entonne les chansons avec Andi Deris. Ce live reprend des titres de toute la carrière d’Helloween. Le choix des chansons semble avoir été assez judicieusement fait.

Que dire d’autre ??? Les morceaux sont superbement bien interprétés tant au niveau vocal, avec un frontman à la hauteur, mais également musicalement avec des musiciens bien en place qui connaissent parfaitement les chansons. Le groupe investit bien la scène dans son ensemble. Les petits « jeux » entre le batteur et les guitaristes sont excellents et mettent encore plus d’ambiance parmi le public et pourtant il n’avait pas besoin de cela ce public, l’ambiance était bien survolté !!!

A voir ou à revoir si vous ne l’avez déjà fait…. En attendant le passage en France d’Helloween le 5 et le 6 janvier avec Gamma Ray et Axxis !!!!

Released in the beginning of 2007 this « The Legacy World Tour » (to make it short!)  from Helloween is a live DVD recorded during the last concert of the group in Sao Paulo,  Brazil.

To say that this live is very good is little to say!!! First of all the production is at the level with a rather clear sound, with the impression to be at the gig… the public, much at form that evening it seems, can highly be heard and say present, sing the songs with Andi Deris. This live takes titles from all the Helloween’s career. The choice of the songs seems  to be judicious.

What else to say??? The songs are superbly well interpreted on the vocals level, with a good frontman, but also musically with musicians well at place who know perfectly the songs. The group really takes the scene as a whole. The little “games” between the drummer and the guitars players are excellent and put even more ambience in the public and we cannot say that they needed that, the ambience was already much highly charged!!!

To see and to see again if you haven’t already done it… to wait the coming in France of Helloween on the 5^th and 6^th of January with Gamma Ray and Axxis!!!!

Après avoir être sorti en CD “Execution : live Reunion”, enregistré au Credicard Hall de São Paulo au Brésil en novembre 2005, revient avec ce DVD. Rien de bien nouveau sinon que l’on peut maintenant associer le son et l’image. Ce DVD a deux chansons qui ne figuraient  pas dans le CD : « Final Embrace » et « Tears Of The Dragon ». En regardant ce live, il est clair que les musiciens de Tribuzy sont des musiciens de talent et que son frontman est un excellent vocaliste, les guitaristes invités (Kiko Loureiro, Roland Grapow, Roy Z) ainsi que les chanteurs invités (Bruce Dickinson, Mat Sinner) sont la « cerise » sur le gâteau…

Ce live bénéficie d’une bonne production avec une très bonne qualité sonore et d’image. Absolument  rien de négatif à dire dessus. Si vous avez aimé l’album live vous ne pourrez aimer que ce DVD… qui amènent les images qui manquaient ! Pour tout les fans de heavy métal des années 80.

After having being released in CD “Execution : live Reunion”, recorded at the Credicard Hall of São Paulo in Brasil in november 2005, comes back with this DVD. Nothing really new just the fact that now we can associate images with sound. This DVD has two songs which were not in the CD: « Final Embrace » et « Tears Of The Dragon ». by watching this live, it is clear that the Tribuzy musicians are talentuous and that its frontman is an excellent vocalist, the invited guitar players  (Kiko Loureiro, Roland Grapow, Roy Z) as well as the guest singers  (Bruce Dickinson, Mat Sinner) are the “cherry” on the cake…

This live has the benefit of a good production with a great quality sound and image. Absolutely nothing negative to say on it. If you had liked the live album you just can like this DVD… which brings the images that were missing! For the 80s heavy metal fans.

Seven Witches est un groupe de heavy power métal, reconnu comme l’un des meilleurs groupes américains depuis quelques années, qu’on les aime ou pas ….

La première chose à dire est que la qualité de ce DVD n’est franchement pas terrible, surtout le son !!! si l’on entend relativement bien la section rythmique, qui bénéficient de micros très certainement bien placés, ce n’est certainement pas le cas pour la guitare de Jack Frost, ni pour le chanteur James Rivera, dommage !!!

Ce n’est donc pas avec ce DVD qui faut découvrir le groupe et leur musique….

La lumière est bonne, sans effets spéciaux, juste le minimum, mais c’est suffisant, après tout l’important c’est la musique !!! Le groupe reprend dans ce DVD toutes les meilleures chansons de leur discographie, avec un excellent vocaliste pour les interpréter et un guitariste remarquable qui donne de bons soli.

Dans les bonus du DVD nous avons l’histoire du groupe, des interviews, les backstages, etc…

Bref si vous connaissez et aimez le groupe, c’est un DVD à  avoir dans sa collection, mais pour les autres, je vous conseillais d’aller piocher directement dans leurs albums ….

Seven Witches is a heavy power metal group, known to be as one of the best American groups since a few years, that you like or not…

The first thing to say is that the quality of this DVD is not very good, especially the sound!!! If we relatively hear pretty well the rhythmic section, which do have to benefit of certainly well put micros, it not the case for Jack Frost’s guitar, nor for the singer James Rivera, too bad!!!

It is not with this DVD that you have to discover the group or its music…

The lights are good, without special effects, just the minima, but it is sufficient, after all what is important is the music!!!  The group in this DVD is playing all its best songs of its discography, with an excellent vocalist to interpret them and a remarkable guitar player who gives good soli.

In the bonus of the DVD we’ll have the story of the group, interviews, footstages, etc…To be short if you know and like this group, it is a DVD to possess but for the others I will recommend you to go and take directly their albums…

Nul besoin de présenter “Dimebag” Darrell Abbot, guitariste de heavy métal ….. Assassiné en plein concert en décembre 2004 par un fan ….« Dimebag » a commencé sa carrière au sein du groupe Pantera puis a créé avec son frère Vinnie Paul, batteur, le groupe Damage Plan. Ce DVD contient des documents « backstage », des photos inédites de Dimebag avec ses amis, sa famille et des fans, mais aussi des parties live, du début de sa carrière avec Pantera et également une interview sur CNN… En tout cas ce que l’on peut retenir c’est qu’ils adorent « jouer » avec des feux d’artifice et qu’ils adorent boire !!! Mais ce n’est certes pas le plus important…. On voit Dimebag jouer, avec tout le feeling et le doigté dont il est capable (pardon était !!!), bref un DVD qui fera plaisir aux fans du guitariste qui auront le plaisir de le retrouver sur scène ….. Les autres moins fans passeront leur chemin. Juste un DVD pour les collectionneurs qui veulent posséder tout ce qui sort sur Dimebag…

No need to present “Dimebag” Darrell Abbot, heavy metal guitar player… assassinated in a gig in December 2004 by a fan….“Dimebag” has began his career with the group Pantera then has created with his brother Vinnie Paul, drummer, the group Damage Plan. This DVD contains footage documents, unreleased pictures from Dimebag and his friends, family and fans, but also live parts, from the beginning of his career with Pantera and also a CNN interview…What we can retain from the DVD is they like to “play”with fireworks and like to drink !!! but it is certainly not the most important… we see Dimebag playing, with all the feeling and the knowledge he’s able to (sorry he was !!!!), so a DVD which will please the fans of the guitar player who will be  glad to see him again on stage…. The others, less fans, will pass their way. Just a DVD for the collector who want to possess all on Dimebag…
